Ingredients
Whey protein isolate blend (micro-filtered WPI, hydrolysed WPI), flavours, emulsifier (sunflower lecithin), natural thickeners (cellulose gum, xanthan gum, guar gum), sweetener (stevia) and DigeZyme® (alpha-amylase, protease, lactase, lipase, cellulase). Contains milk (dairy). Chocolate Milk also contains cocoa. Switch says the Unflavoured tub has no stevia.
What is cross-flow micro-filtered WPI?
Cross-flow micro-filtration is a way of filtering whey with fine filters instead of heat or chemicals. The process removes most of the fat and lactose and keeps the protein intact, which gives you a clean, high-protein isolate. Switch WPI pairs this with hydrolysed WPI, which has been broken into smaller pieces so your body can absorb the protein quickly.
What is DigeZyme®?
DigeZyme® is a blend of five digestive enzymes: amylase, protease, lactase, lipase and cellulase. Each 30 g serve of Switch WPI has 50 mg. Protease helps break down protein and lactase helps break down lactose, so DigeZyme® suits people whose stomach does not love a regular protein shake.
Is Switch WPI lactose free?
Yes. Switch Nutrition makes Switch WPI lactose free, and adds lactase enzyme in DigeZyme® on top. Switch WPI still contains dairy, so Switch WPI is not suitable for people with a milk allergy.
