    Ingredients

Whey protein isolate (milk, soy), flavours (milk), anticaking agent (551), sweeteners (monk fruit extract, stevia), DigeZyme® digestive enzyme blend (alpha-amylase, protease, lipase, cellulase, lactase) and salt. Gluten free. Contains milk and soy. May contain egg, because the product is made on equipment that also makes products with egg.

    What does grass-fed whey mean?

Grass-fed whey comes from the milk of dairy cows that graze mostly on pasture, rather than cows kept in feedlots and fed mainly grain. Whey itself is a by-product of cheese making, so the way the milk is produced affects the starting quality of the whey. Not every "grass fed" claim means the same thing, so look for brands that are open about where their whey comes from and what goes into the tub.

    Grass-fed whey vs regular whey

Grass-fed and regular whey isolate are very similar for protein per scoop and amino acids. People choose grass-fed whey because they prefer pasture-based farming, want fewer additives, or like to know more about where their protein comes from. Pillar WPI keeps the ingredient list short: whey isolate, flavours, monk fruit and stevia, digestive enzymes, an anticaking agent and salt.

    Whey isolate vs whey concentrate

Whey protein isolate (WPI) is filtered more than whey concentrate (WPC), which removes most of the fat and lactose. Pillar WPI is 79.5% protein with just 1.8 g of lactose per 100 g, which is why isolate suits many people who are sensitive to dairy.

    How to take Pillar WPI

    • Strength and resistance training: take Pillar WPI straight after your workout to stimulate muscle protein synthesis, ease soreness and promote lean muscle growth.
    • Mixing: shake 1 scoop (33 g) with water or milk, or blend into a smoothie.
