International Protein Apex Beef Protein Isolate

Product details

On this page

International Protein Apex Beef Protein Isolate is a hydrolysed beef protein powder for people who want a protein shake that isn't whey. Each 30 g scoop gives you up to 26.3 g of protein, less than 1 g of sugar and less than 0.02 g of lactose. Apex is made with HydroBEEF™ beef protein isolate and DigeZyme® digestive enzymes. Choose a 907 g bag (30 serves) or a 2.27 kg bag (75 serves) in Chocolate or Vanilla Ice Cream.

Why choose Apex Beef Protein Isolate

Apex Beef Protein Isolate is a premium hydrolysed beef protein made to support muscle growth, recovery and your daily protein intake. The protein comes from HydroBEEF™, a concentrated protein made from beef, and gives you up to 26.3 g of protein in every 30 g serve. That makes Apex a strong choice for athletes and gym-goers who want a protein supplement that isn't based on whey.

International Protein sources the beef from EU grass-fed, hormone-free, pasture-raised cattle, and says the protein comes from bovine sources, not skin or hide. The isolate is naturally rich in bioactive peptides that support muscle protein synthesis and recovery. Apex gives you a complete amino acid profile with all 9 essential amino acids, added L-tryptophan and naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs). BCAAs play a key role in muscle recovery, help reduce muscle breakdown from exercise and help fight fatigue after hard training or sport.

Every serve also has the DigeZyme® digestive enzyme complex, a blend of five enzymes that helps your body break down proteins, carbohydrates and fats. With low sugar, low carbs and very little lactose, Apex is ideal for anyone who wants more protein without relying on a standard whey formula, whether that is after training or as an everyday shake.

What Apex Beef Protein Isolate helps with

    • Muscle growth: up to 26.3 g of protein per serve to support muscle growth and daily protein needs.
    • Recovery: complete amino acids, bioactive peptides and naturally occurring BCAAs to support recovery after training.
    • A non-whey option: a beef protein base for people who want to step away from whey.
    • Easier digestion: DigeZyme® enzymes help break down protein, carbs and fat.
    • Lean macros: about 121 to 123 Cal, less than 1 g of sugar and 1.2 to 2.3 g of carbs per serve.

    What is beef protein isolate?

Beef protein isolate is protein taken from beef and filtered until almost everything except the protein is gone. In Apex, the beef protein is also hydrolysed, which means the protein is broken into smaller pieces (peptides) during processing. The result is a light powder that mixes into water like a whey shake, with very little fat, sugar or lactose.

Is beef protein isolate just collagen?

No. Beef protein isolate is naturally high in glycine, proline and hydroxyproline, the same amino acids found in collagen, and the Apex label shows this. But Apex also lists all 9 essential amino acids, including 1,090 mg of leucine per serve, plus added L-tryptophan, so Apex counts as a complete protein. International Protein says the protein comes from bovine sources, not skin or hide.

    Beef protein vs whey protein

Whey is made from milk and usually has more leucine per serve, which is why whey is the most popular protein powder for muscle building. Beef protein isolate is a good choice if whey upsets your stomach, if you want to cut back on dairy proteins, or if you just want a change from whey. Apex has less than 0.02 g of lactose per serve, but the flavours contain milk, so Apex is not suitable for anyone with a milk allergy.

How to take Apex Beef Protein Isolate

    • Serve: mix 1 level scoop (about 30 g) with 200 to 300 ml of cold water.
    • How often: 1 to 2 serves a day to help you reach your protein target.
    • When: first thing in the morning, between meals, or before or after training.

    Sizes and price per serve

    • 30 serves (907 g): $109.95, about $3.67 a serve.
    • 75 serves (2.27 kg): $229.95, about $3.07 a serve.

Who should take Apex Beef Protein Isolate?

Apex Beef Protein Isolate is a good fit for lifters, athletes and gym-goers who want a high-protein shake without whey, people who find whey hard on their stomach, and people who want more protein with very little sugar or fat. Apex Beef Protein Isolate is a formulated supplementary sports food for healthy adults. If you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor before use.

Side effects and who should avoid Apex Beef Protein Isolate

Protein powders like Apex are well tolerated by most people. Start with one serve a day if you are new to beef protein, and drink plenty of water. Each serve has about 600 mg of sodium, so count it if you watch your salt intake. Apex is not suitable for children under 15, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone with a milk allergy, and it may contain egg and soy. Do not go over the recommended daily serve, and stop if you notice any side effects.

01Is beef protein isolate better than whey?+

Neither is better for everyone. Whey usually has more leucine per serve, which makes whey a great all-round choice for muscle building. Beef protein isolate like Apex suits people who find whey hard on their stomach, want to cut back on dairy proteins, or just want a non-whey option, and Apex still gives you up to 26.3 g of protein per serve.

02Is beef protein isolate just collagen?+

No. Beef protein isolate is naturally high in glycine, proline and hydroxyproline, the amino acids found in collagen. But the Apex label also shows all 9 essential amino acids, including 1,090 mg of leucine per serve, plus added L-tryptophan, so Apex is a complete protein. International Protein says the protein comes from bovine sources, not skin or hide.

03How much protein is in Apex Beef Protein Isolate?+

Each 30 g scoop has 26.3 g of protein in Chocolate and 26.0 g in Vanilla Ice Cream, with less than 1 g of sugar per serve.

04Is Apex Beef Protein Isolate dairy free?+

No. Apex is made from beef protein, not milk protein, and has less than 0.02 g of lactose per serve. But the flavours contain milk, so Apex is not suitable for anyone with a milk allergy. The label also says Apex may contain egg and soy.

    05What is HydroBEEF?+

HydroBEEF™ is the branded hydrolysed beef protein isolate in Apex. Hydrolysed means the protein has been broken into smaller pieces (peptides) during processing, giving a concentrated protein made from beef.

06Where does the beef in Apex come from?+

International Protein says the beef comes from EU grass-fed, hormone-free, pasture-raised cattle, and that the protein is from bovine sources, not skin or hide.

07How do I take Apex Beef Protein Isolate?+

Mix 1 level scoop (about 30 g) with 200 to 300 ml of cold water. Take 1 to 2 serves a day, first thing in the morning, between meals, or before or after training.
