Product details

On this page

Dr. Hydrate is an Australian electrolyte drink mix that does more than replace salt. Each 9 g scoop gives you 593 mg of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium), plus 1,425 mg of L-glutamine, 375 mg of acetyl-L-carnitine, Aquamin sea minerals, a probiotic and 8 B vitamins. A serve has just 20 calories and no added sugar. Dr. Hydrate is HASTA certified, so every batch is tested for banned substances. One 30 serve tub, 9 fruit flavours.

    Why choose Dr. Hydrate electrolytes

Dr. Hydrate is more than an electrolyte drink. Think of it as your body’s daily hydration powerhouse, made to keep you performing at your peak. Every serve replaces the vital electrolytes you lose through sweat, fuels your endurance and helps your muscles recover faster. With a clean, low-sugar formula and nine refreshing fruit flavours, Dr. Hydrate is the smarter way to stay hydrated and energised all day long, whether you’re training hard, working long hours or just need a lift.

Each serve packs a powerful mix of electrolytes, vitamins and performance ingredients, including L-Glutamine and Acetyl-L-Carnitine, to support recovery, muscle function and mental clarity. Aquamin® sea minerals and probiotics add support for optimal hydration, digestion and overall wellbeing, giving your body exactly what it needs to feel balanced, strong and ready for what’s next.

Elite athletes and everyday performers trust Dr. Hydrate. The formula is HASTA™ certified and completely free from banned substances and artificial colours. This is hydration done right: clean, effective and refreshing every time you drink it.

    What is in Dr. Hydrate?

    • Mineral salts: calcium citrate, sodium chloride, magnesium citrate and potassium chloride give you the 4 main electrolytes.
    • L-glutamine: the most common amino acid in muscle. Many athletes use glutamine to support recovery.
    • Acetyl-L-carnitine: a form of carnitine, which plays a part in how your body makes energy. Acetyl-L-carnitine is often used to support focus.
    • Aquamin: a mineral-rich red sea algae (Lithothamnion) that adds trace minerals.
    • Probiotic: Bacillus coagulans, a hardy probiotic that can survive in a powder.
    • Vitamins and minerals: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12, plus zinc and selenium.
    • Flavour and sweetener: natural flavours, natural colours and sucralose. No added sugar and no artificial flavours.

Dr. Hydrate vs a regular sports drink

A 600 ml bottle of sports drink can have more than 30 g of sugar. A 9 g scoop of Dr. Hydrate mixed in 600 to 700 ml of water has 0.3 g of sugar and 20 calories. Sports drinks are mostly sugar, water and salt. Dr. Hydrate adds calcium, magnesium, glutamine, carnitine, B vitamins and a probiotic. If you need fast carbs for a long race, a sports drink still has a place. For daily training and everyday hydration, Dr. Hydrate gives you the electrolytes without the sugar.

Is Dr. Hydrate safe for tested athletes?

Dr. Hydrate is HASTA certified. HASTA is an independent Australian program that tests every batch for substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and checks how the product is made. That is why many athletes who get drug tested choose Dr. Hydrate.

    How to take Dr. Hydrate

Mix 1 level scoop (9 g) with 600 to 700 ml of cold water and shake well. Any bits at the bottom are minerals and vitamins, so give the bottle another shake as you drink. Good times to have Dr. Hydrate:

    • Morning: you wake up a little dehydrated, so have a serve before your first coffee.
    • Before, during or after training: sip during long or sweaty sessions, or drink after to help replace what you lost.
    • Afternoon slump: swap a sugary energy drink for a serve of Dr. Hydrate.
    • Hot days and long shifts: great for outdoor work, travel or any day you sweat a lot.

Can you drink Dr. Hydrate every day?

Yes. Dr. Hydrate is made for daily use, and one serve gives you about 20 to 25% of the daily needs for each B vitamin, calcium, magnesium and zinc. Stick to the serve on the label. On big training days you can have a second serve, but most people only need one. Drink plain water through the day as well.

    Who should drink Dr. Hydrate?

Dr. Hydrate is a good fit for gym-goers, runners, cyclists and team sport players, people who work hard jobs in the heat, and anyone who wants to drink more water without sugar. Dr. Hydrate is free from added sugar, caffeine and gluten, and the ingredient list has no animal products.

What to take with Dr. Hydrate

    • Creatine: creatine pulls water into your muscles, so good hydration and creatine go well together. Add 3 to 5 g of Booty N Buff Essential Creatine to your Dr. Hydrate. Creatine has no taste.
    • A protein shake: after training, have Dr. Hydrate for fluids and a whey isolate like International Protein Amino Charged WPI for protein.
    • A pre-workout: stimulant pre-workouts can make you sweat more, so many people sip Dr. Hydrate during the session.
    • Magnesium and zinc: ATP Science ZMAG capsules give you 300 mg of magnesium a day, to support muscle relaxation and help with cramps.

    Safety tips
