Product details

On this page

The Oxyshred Protein Lean Bar is EHP Labs' high-protein, low-sugar snack bar. Each 50 g bar has 18 g of protein, 2 g of sugar, 7 g of fibre and 160 to 170 calories, with a chocolate coating and a soft centre. Eat one between meals, after training, or any time you need a protein hit on the go. Buy single bars to try a flavour, or a box of 12 to keep in your bag, car or desk.

Why choose Oxyshred Protein Lean Bars

EHP Labs Oxyshred Protein Lean Bars are high-protein performance snacks made to support lean muscle, appetite control and your everyday protein needs. Premium protein sources meet a soft, satisfying texture and rich flavour, so hitting your daily macros never means giving up on taste. Grab one after training, between meals or any time you want protein support. Each bar gives you quality nutrition in an easy, on-the-go format.

Made for active lifestyles, every bar has a balanced macro profile and clean ingredients that promote muscle recovery and help you manage hunger. Because they taste great and have a texture you’ll enjoy, they make it easier to stay consistent with your protein goals. They slot straight into training days, workdays and everything in between.

What the Oxyshred Protein Bar helps with

    • Daily protein: 18 g of protein per bar from milk protein, whey, soy protein and hydrolysed collagen.
    • Staying full: 7 g of fibre and 18 g of protein help keep you satisfied between meals.
    • Low sugar and low carb: 2 g of sugar and about 3 g of carbs per bar, with no added sugar in the chocolate.
    • Calorie control: 160 to 170 calories per bar, so the Oxyshred bar fits easily into a diet plan.

What's in an Oxyshred Protein Bar

    • Protein blend: milk protein concentrate, whey protein concentrate, soy protein isolate, soy protein crisps and hydrolysed collagen (5%). EHP Labs describes the blend as slow-release protein.
    • Fibre: polydextrose, inulin, soluble corn fibre and citrus fibre. EHP Labs lists the inulin and soluble corn fibre as prebiotic fibre.
    • Sweeteners: erythritol, stevia and monk fruit in the chocolate, plus sorbitol and glycerol to keep the centre soft.
    • Coating: no added sugar milk or white chocolate, depending on the flavour.
    • Natural colours, flavours and sweeteners: EHP Labs uses natural colours and flavours, and sweetens the bars with stevia, monk fruit and erythritol instead of sugar. Vitamin E is added as an antioxidant.

    7 flavours

    • Cookies & Cream: a cookies and cream bar in a milk chocolate coating.
    • Choc Peanut Caramel: milk chocolate, caramel, peanut butter and peanuts.
    • Strawberries & Cream: a strawberries and cream bar in a white chocolate coating.
    • White Choc Caramel: white chocolate with caramel and sugar-free caramel chips.
    • White Choc Pistachio: white chocolate with a pistachio flavour.
    • Choc Hazelnut: a chocolate and hazelnut combo.
    • Jam Filled Lamington: a protein bar take on the Aussie classic.

New to the range? Buy a few single bars first, then grab a box of 12 of your favourite. A box works out cheaper per bar than buying singles.

When to eat an Oxyshred Protein Bar

    • Between meals: a filling snack that helps you skip the vending machine.
    • After training: 18 g of protein to support muscle recovery when you can't make a shake.
    • On the go: keep a bar in your gym bag, car or desk drawer.

How to store Oxyshred Protein Bars

Keep bars somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun. EHP Labs suggests 16°C to 20°C, so a pantry or desk drawer is fine, but a hot car in summer will melt the chocolate. Keep each bar in the wrapper until you're ready to eat so the centre stays soft. Most people eat one bar a day, so a box of 12 lasts about two weeks.

What to look for in a protein bar

    • Protein per bar: 15 g or more. The Oxyshred bar has 18 g.
    • Sugar: under 5 g. The Oxyshred bar has 2 g.
    • Calories: think of a bar as a snack, not a meal. The Oxyshred bar has 160 to 170.
    • Fibre: helps you stay full. The Oxyshred bar has 7 g.
    • Ingredients that suit you: check the allergens and the sweeteners. Sugar alcohols like sorbitol and erythritol can upset some stomachs.
    • Price per bar: compare the price per bar and the grams of protein in each bar. Buying a box of 12 brings the price per bar down.

Allergens and who should take care

All Oxyshred Protein Bars contain milk and soy. Choc Peanut Caramel also contains peanuts. The labels say every flavour may contain peanut, sesame and tree nuts, so the Oxyshred bar is not suitable for people with nut allergies. The bars are not vegan.

The bars use sorbitol, glycerol and erythritol. Eating several bars in a day can cause bloating, gas or a loose stomach in some people. Start with one bar a day and drink plenty of water.

Single bar or box of 12

    • One bar: $4.95.
    • Box of 12: $55.00, about $4.58 a bar.

What to pair with the Oxyshred Protein Bar

Oxyshred bar, BSc Low Carb Bar or Quest Bar?

    • Oxyshred Protein Lean Bar: 50 g bar, 18 g protein, 2 g sugar, 160 to 170 calories, with collagen and prebiotic fibre.
    • BSc High Protein Low Carb Bar: a bigger 60 g bar with 18 to 20 g of protein and 2.7 to 4 g of carbs.
    • Quest Protein Bar: about 20 g of protein and up to 14 g of fibre, and gluten free.

01How much protein is in an Oxyshred Protein Bar?+

Each 50 g Oxyshred Protein Lean Bar has 18 g of protein. The protein comes from milk protein, whey, soy protein and hydrolysed collagen.

02How many calories are in an Oxyshred Protein Bar?+

An Oxyshred Protein Bar has 160 to 170 calories, depending on the flavour. Cookies & Cream, Strawberries & Cream and White Choc Caramel have 160 calories. Choc Peanut Caramel has 170.

03Is the Oxyshred Protein Bar good for weight loss?+

The Oxyshred bar can fit into a weight loss diet as a filling, lower-calorie snack, with 18 g of protein, 7 g of fibre and 2 g of sugar. A protein bar will not cause weight loss on its own. Results come from your overall diet, training and sleep.

04How many Oxyshred Protein Bars can I eat a day?+

EHP Labs suggests one bar a day. The bars contain sugar alcohols like sorbitol and erythritol, and eating several in one day can upset your stomach. Get most of your protein from whole foods and shakes.

    05Should I eat a protein bar before or after a workout?+

Either works. After training, a protein bar gives you protein to support recovery when you can't have a shake. Before training, eat the bar at least an hour ahead so you don't feel heavy.

06Does the Oxyshred Protein Bar have caffeine?+

No. The Oxyshred Protein Lean Bar has no added caffeine, even though the Oxyshred name is also used on EHP Labs' fat burner. The chocolate coating has only the small amount of caffeine found naturally in cocoa, so the bar is fine to eat in the evening.

07Is the Oxyshred Protein Bar vegan or gluten free?+

The Oxyshred bar is not vegan, because the bar contains milk protein, whey and milk chocolate. EHP Labs does not label the bar gluten free. The bars contain milk and soy, and may contain peanut, sesame and tree nuts.

08Are protein bars good for you?+

A good protein bar is a handy way to add protein to your day and can stop you reaching for a sugary snack. Look for at least 15 g of protein and under 5 g of sugar. Treat a bar as a snack, not a meal replacement.
