G'day BnB Fam. I want to look back at where this journey started for me, and why we made Project Hades.

When I first got serious about training, I was like anyone else: looking for that spark to get me through a cold morning session or a heavy leg day after a long day at work. Over the years I've tried just about every pre-workout on the market. Some were great, some were a waste of money, and some left me jittery and crashed out before I'd finished my first working set.

As we grew the BnB community, I realised our fam is made up of some of the hardest-working people I've ever met. Whether you train near our Caringbah store or follow us from the other side of the country, you don't do things by halves. We wanted a pre-workout that matched that intensity. That's how Project Hades was born: our strongest pre-workout, made for the days you want to push past what you thought you could do.

Project Hades in 30 seconds

  • What it is: Booty N Buff's strongest pre-workout, for experienced lifters.
  • Pump: L-citrulline, Nitrosigine and S7.
  • Endurance: beta-alanine.
  • Focus and energy: caffeine, TeaCrine, tyrosine, citicoline and L-theanine, with every dose on the label.
  • New to it? Start with half a scoop, 15 to 30 minutes before training.

Why we called it Project Hades

We named it after the god of the underworld because we were thinking about the grit of the deep, heavy sessions. Training hard is a test of character as much as muscle. The gym is a place where you leave the noise of the world behind and focus on the task in front of you, and to do that you need to feel switched on, even when you're tired or stressed.

I've had plenty of mornings sitting in my car outside the gym, staring at the steering wheel and wondering if I had a PB in me. Those are the days Hades is made for. It's not about a supplement doing the work for you, because there are no shortcuts. It's about turning up ready, so your hard work turns into results.

What's in Project Hades?

The pump: L-citrulline, Nitrosigine and S7

That full, pumped feeling isn't just about how you look in the mirror. Research shows L-citrulline raises nitric oxide levels, which widens your blood vessels and improves blood flow to the muscles you're working. We added two more ingredients that support blood flow in different ways: Nitrosigine, a form of arginine studied for longer-lasting blood flow, and S7, a blend of seven plant extracts that helps your body make more of its own nitric oxide. Together they're there to give you a pump you feel from the first set.

Endurance: beta-alanine

There's nothing worse than starting a session full of energy and hitting a wall twenty minutes in. Beta-alanine raises carnosine in your muscles, which helps buffer the acid that builds up during hard sets. That can delay fatigue and help you push out those last few reps. You might feel a tingle after you take it. That's normal and harmless, and I love it because it tells me I'm ready to go.

Focus and energy: caffeine, TeaCrine and nootropics

The mental side of a pre-workout is often overlooked. If your head isn't in the game, your body won't follow. Hades pairs caffeine with TeaCrine for energy, and adds tyrosine, citicoline and L-theanine for focus, so you feel locked in rather than just buzzing. When you're under a heavy barbell, being completely present helps you keep your form when you're tired.

AstraGin is in there too, to help your body absorb the rest. And every dose is on the label: no proprietary blends.

Hades doesn't do the work for you. It makes sure you turn up ready to do it.

How to use Project Hades

  • Save it for big days: heavy squats, deadlifts, or whenever you're trying to break a plateau. You don't need it for a light recovery day.
  • Timing: take it 15 to 30 minutes before your warm-up, so everything kicks in by your working sets.
  • Start with half a scoop to see how you handle it. Hades is made for experienced users, not your first ever pre-workout.
  • Don't stack caffeine: skip the extra coffee or energy drink on Hades days, and don't take it late in the day.
  • One serve a day, max. Check with your doctor first if you have a health condition, take medication, are pregnant or are sensitive to caffeine.

New to pre-workout, or want something lighter? Start with Project Ares, our everyday moderate-stim pre-workout, and read our pre-workout guide for beginners. Training at night? A non-stim pre-workout gives you the pump without the caffeine.

Project Hades FAQ

Is Project Hades good for beginners?

Not as your first pre-workout. Start with Project Ares, and once you know how you handle caffeine, try half a scoop of Hades.

When should I take Project Hades?

15 to 30 minutes before training. Avoid taking it in the evening, as caffeine can affect your sleep for hours.

Does Project Hades have creatine?

No. Creatine works best taken every day, while pre-workout is for training days, so we sell it separately as Essential Creatine.

What flavours does Project Hades come in?

Electric Grape, Pineapple Havoc, Raspberry Uprising and Sour Gummy Blitz.
